My name is Katie and I love food. I have just finished university and have spent a long time thinking, “When I get a job and my own place, I will bake and host dinner parties allll the time.” And then I thought… “Why wait? Why not start now?”
So I am – let’s get baking!!
Katie xxx
Just wanted to say thanks for following my blog. I hope you enjoy trying out some of the recipes and let me know how they turn out. Feel free to browse the archives, ask questions or leave comments anytime! I also have a hospitality section in my blog that tells a little bit about how I’ve entertained and hosted other couples for dinner through the years. You might want to check it out, too, since you want to bake and host dinner parties!
Hey! Thanks for leaving a comment 🙂 I will definitely have a look, as it’s my dad’s birthday soon & we are planning a party for that so it could really come in handy – thanks for the tip! Katie
Hi Katie…just found your blog this evening and I’m so glad I did. I’m looking forward to what you’ll be sharing this month.
Allison
Thank you Allison! Have just been looking through your blog & there are so many recipes I want to try – will let you know how they go 🙂

Hi Katie, I use to think the exact same thoughts – when I get this, or when I get that, I’ll bake for all my friends etc etc etc, but I finally said enough and decided to actually start putting words into action, and it feels great! haha! So I completely understand where you’re coming from 😛
P.s. I looooveeee France and everything to do with France, so naturally, I am in love with your blog! haha! Looking foward to many more posts from you 🙂
Yup, it’s good to stop making excuses and just start cooking anyway! Thank you so much for reading! I have bookmarked a few things from your blog to bake just as soon as I have an oven again – everything looks so tasty… and super cute too 🙂 Katie x
Thanks for liking my pumpkin butterscotch croissants with pecans and coconut. They were a hit at a huge potluck we were at today. I think you will enjoy them too.
Well they do look amazing 🙂 And very seasonal too – perfect for using up the jack-o’-lantern leftovers!
Great idea.
Hi, Katie, Congratulations! I’ve nominated your blog for the Very Inspiring Blog Award. If you are interested in participating you can access the badge icon and rules for participation here: http://cantstayoutofthekitchen.com/2012/10/17/very-inspiring-blog-award/
Thank you so much Theresa 🙂 So happy you like my blog! Sorry for not replying to this sooner – I have had a couple of visitors & haven’t been on the internet for a while *shock horror*! Will get participating in the next day or two!
You’re welcome.
So how did you end up in Bordeaux? Even on a budget, it sounds glorious!
Hey! I’m currently doing a work placement in Bordeaux (only two weeks left now though) as I’ve just graduated from uni – where I studied French and German – and it seemed like the perfect opportunity! Bordeaux is a lovely city, and the surrounding area is absolutely amazing… you’ve got wine country (Bergerac, St Emilion…) and the biggest sand dune in Europe, the Dune du Pilat, just to name a few things 🙂 Katie x
Nice blog, and you have a lot on here for it just being a few months old!
Thank you so much 🙂 I love your blog by the way, such a great story behind it & an awesome mohawk too! x
Katie!! Thanks for visiting my site! I am also trying to bake more…i literally just loaded my kitchen with some bakeware! So you and I are going to be on the same baking adventure! Cant wait to share our experiences 😀
Oooh bakeware – I can’t wait to have my own kitchen to fill with bakeware 🙂 Yay, baking adventures!!

Take care, Athina
Hi Athina 🙂 Thank you so much for your nomination! It means a lot, especially as I’m new to the blogging game too! Katie x

Thank you so much for following my blog! I am also very huppy that you liked the (re-)post “Let’s eat the Greek Way”. It seems, like a family, we all bloggers gathering together arround food and eateries, don’t we? 😀
Hi! No problem – I look forward to following your blog 🙂 Yup, there’s a lovely little food blogger community! Katie x
Thanks for the follow Katie. I will have a closer look at some of your posts because I mostly make chocolates, cakes and biscuits. (I do also make charcuterie from our pigs – a bit of strange combination of skills).
Wow, yes, that is quite a random combination – although both chocolate and charcuterie are amazing 🙂 I’m looking forward to reading your future posts!
