My name is Katie and I love food. I have just finished university and have spent a long time thinking, “When I get a job and my own place, I will bake and host dinner parties allll the time.” And then I thought… “Why wait? Why not start now?”

Just wanted to say thanks for following my blog. I hope you enjoy trying out some of the recipes and let me know how they turn out. Feel free to browse the archives, ask questions or leave comments anytime! I also have a hospitality section in my blog that tells a little bit about how I’ve entertained and hosted other couples for dinner through the years. You might want to check it out, too, since you want to bake and host dinner parties!

Hi Katie, I use to think the exact same thoughts – when I get this, or when I get that, I’ll bake for all my friends etc etc etc, but I finally said enough and decided to actually start putting words into action, and it feels great! haha! So I completely understand where you’re coming from 😛

So how did you end up in Bordeaux? Even on a budget, it sounds glorious!
Hey! I’m currently doing a work placement in Bordeaux (only two weeks left now though) as I’ve just graduated from uni – where I studied French and German – and it seemed like the perfect opportunity! Bordeaux is a lovely city, and the surrounding area is absolutely amazing… you’ve got wine country (Bergerac, St Emilion…) and the biggest sand dune in Europe, the Dune du Pilat, just to name a few things 🙂 Katie x
